North Carolina A&T State University Partnership with Local High School

High School Partnership 

In late October, students from Smith High School in Greensboro, NC., visited NC A&T State University as an ongoing monthly outreach partnership with NOAA ISETCSC.  The students engaged in experiments regarding measurement, uncertainty, and the accuracy of measuring devices.  Additionally, they heard a lecture by Dr. Yong Jong (post-doctoral research associate) regarding his research on the hydrometeorology of hurricane landfalls.  Dr. Marc Fiddler (post-doctoral research associate) conducted the laboratory experiments with the students.  They saw a presentation regarding career opportunities in geosciences and degree programs available at NC A&T State University.
